Discovery NotesThe sample was collected near a lot of bushes and vegetation. The soil was dark brown, but not as moist. It was collected about an inch deep from the surface. A bunch roots and others were collected with it.
Naming NotesThe phage is named after one of the Greek Muses, Melpomene, who was the patron of Greek tragedies. The name sounded pretty cool, so this was the name I decided.
