Discovery Notes | The sample was collected near a lot of bushes and vegetation. The soil was dark brown, but not as moist. It was collected about an inch deep from the surface. A bunch roots and others were collected with it. |
Naming Notes | The phage is named after one of the Greek Muses, Melpomene, who was the patron of Greek tragedies. The name sounded pretty cool, so this was the name I decided. |
