Discovery Notes | The soils sample was from the front of my house located in Abington. Sample Site Description: Grassy area located in front of shrubs of plant, soil seemed healthy the plants surrounding the sample site seemed to be flourishing. |
Naming Notes | The phage name came from me and my lab partner's initials. My initials are EV and my lab partner's initials are VL. With an addition of an "I" it spells Evvil, prenounced "Evil". Additionally, every time we added the phage solution to the host bacteria we allowed the two to attach for 7 minutes every time. |

Plaque Notes | For every plaque assay or serial dilution that was performed, the plaques always appeared to be cloudy, which we assumed they were lysogenic. Each plaque would contain a bull's eye like appearance with a dot in its center and a circle surrounding it. They relatively vary from medium to large in size. |
