Discovery NotesThe soil sample was collected from a compost bin that was built about 40 years ago. The most recently it was churned was about a year before the soil collected. The bin was surrounded by overgrown wild herbaceous plants. Towards the end of every summer, the plants covers the whole bin so that sunlight barely reaches. Two dogs live around the bin, also sometimes small mammals visit to feed from it. Several days prior to collection of the sample, the weather was very humid. The collection day it was 90% humid. The bin is about 100 meters away from an ocean (Long Island Sound).
Naming NotesIt’s a persian-turkish name.
