Discovery Notes | Fatih1453 was isolated from a soil sample obtained from a suburban backyard in Fairfax, VA. The soil was moist and full of organic matter. The soil sample was collected 1 foot below the surface. |
Naming Notes | I am very interested in learning about the history of the Ottoman Empire. Fatih is one of the districts of Istanbul which I have visited before. 1453 is the year when the district became part of the Ottoman Empire. Hence the name Fatih1453. |
