Discovery Notes | It was discovered in soil in between the Mullins Center Community Ice Rink and Mullins Center in UMass Amherst. The exact conditions and exact location is hard to tell since this phage was adopted. |
Naming Notes | We liked the name Philip but decided to spell it as Filip. Since Philip reminded us of the Philippines, we decided to attach Manila, the country's capital, to the name Filip, therefore FilipManila was born. |
