Discovery NotesThe soil sample was collected at the Nova Southeastern University Medicinal Garden. It was a warm and sunny day, thus the soil was moist and filled with twigs and leaves. There are known to be iguanas, cats, insects, and raccoons nearby; therefore, contributing to many types of viruses.
Naming NotesThe phage name is a combination of my last name “Gershon” with my name and my brothers’ names: Alyssa, Zachary, and Mason.
