Discovery NotesThis soil sample was dark brown, slightly moist, was exposed to the sun through a window pane, and had an abundance of perlite in it. It was also extracted three inches from the surface level.
Naming NotesOur phage was named based on the soil extracted from Cherish's sunflower plant in her dorm window. Since "Sunflower" was already a registered phage name, we chose "sunflower" in Spanish.
