Discovery NotesThe soil was collected near the Cathedral of Learning in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Fifth Avenue. The temperature at the time of collection was 72 degrees Fahrenheit and the humidity was low. The soil was collected from underneath a 4 inch layer of mulch and was very damp. There had been no precipitation in the week prior to the soil collection.
Naming NotesThe name of this phage comes from the Office when Jim calls Dwight "Glenpickle". My younger sister Ria always found it really funny, and she thought it was a fitting name for this bacteriophage.
