Discovery NotesThe soil was damp and under a layer of grass in direct sunlight near the edge of the forest and Duane Stadium at Merrimack College. There had been recent rain, so the ground was wet enough that water would pool and the grass would sink slightly when pressure was applied such as someone walking on the grassy area. The sample was collected by digging through the grassy area with a clean kitchen spoon about 6 inches deep and the upturned mud was then scraped directly into a sterile tube and brought into the lab for isolation about 10
minutes later.
Naming NotesNamed for a word made famous by Tom Cruise.
