Discovery NotesThis phage was isolated from soil collected in the Montreal Children’s Hospital garden. The initial isolation plate contained multiple plaques of distinct sizes. A single plaque was selected for purification, followed by three rounds of plaque purification. After troubleshooting contamination events observed across the lab cohort, a high-titer lysate was obtained and confirmed by plaque assay.
Naming NotesI named it after the host A. globiformis

Plaque NotesPlaques were generally circular and turbid, exhibiting two reproducible morphologies throughout the purification process: larger diffuse-edged plaques and smaller, well-defined ones. Webbed plates were obtained at 10⁻² dilution during amplification.
