Discovery NotesSoil sample was collected from a mulched area on campus that had bushes and flowers growing within it. This was the second sample tested, which was collected on September 11, 2018.
Naming NotesThe name Grinchy originated from the difficulty that was associated with isolating and purifying it. The character "The Grinch" was notoriously a rude and stubborn individual. Similarly, our phage presented to be stubborn and difficult to work with.
