Discovery NotesThis sample was taken from a planter in front of the Sciences Library, just below the surface of the soil. It was about 79°F at the time of collection. This phage comes from the same sample as the phage called "Tippy" but was discovered through purification to be different.
Naming NotesDuring purification, this phage was referred to as "halo type". When I think of halos, I think of angels, and there is nothing more angelic than a scoop of Ben & Jerry's ice cream, more specifically a scoop of the flavor Half Baked.
