Discovery Notes | This sample was taken from a planter in front of the Sciences Library, just below the surface of the soil. It was about 79°F at the time of collection. This phage comes from the same sample as the phage called "Tippy" but was discovered through purification to be different. |
Naming Notes | During purification, this phage was referred to as "halo type". When I think of halos, I think of angels, and there is nothing more angelic than a scoop of Ben & Jerry's ice cream, more specifically a scoop of the flavor Half Baked. |
