Naming Notes | The name for this phage comes from the fact that the it put up a good fight from start to finish especially during the genomic DNA purification phase in which it refused to go through the syringe and into the column. It was at that point, and three broken syringes later, that I realized that it resembled the character of Lord Voldemort from Harry Potter since he too never rested and continued to wreak havoc. I also had a very hard time naming my phage and spent many weeks thinking about it so I thought the name fit both aspects of it's creation. |
