Discovery NotesI collected the soil from a very marshy area of a dried up pond. The soil was very wet and semi- hard, like a clay substance. It was brown and clear with not many additional components (sticks, leaves etc)
Naming NotesThe name Hong Mushu was inspired by the movie Mulan. Mulan was my favorite Disney movie growing up and I also felt like Mulan's story resonated with my Phage. I also liked Mushu's character :) I admired a quote in the movie that said " The flower that blooms in adversity is the most rare and beautiful of all". My Phage did exactly this, hence why I thought it was only right that I pick a name that related to Mulan.
