Discovery NotesSoil sample was taken from Lullwater Park on the Emory University campus on September 30, 2024. Site ambient temperature was 23C. Semi-shady site in mossy area with few trees. Sandy dry soil, taken from the surface.
Naming NotesThis phage makes the tiniest plaques - we almost didn't see them at all! To consistently obtain visible plaques, it was necessary to drop the PYCa top agar concentration to 0.2% and use less host (10-20 uL of stationary phase culture) in double layer plates.
