Discovery NotesIt took four round of phage hunting collecting 3 samples so a total of 12 soil samples at Mount St. Mary in Emmitsburg, Maryland campus. On the fourth round we chose sample 2 out of 3. This phage was isolated from soil enrichment culturing between 64°- 75°F. The soil was from around the ARCC creek by a small sewer tunnel, In open ground area with sun exposure. The soil was moist and dark brown
Naming NotesMy lab partner Trinity J. and I Mckayla lee have successful found our own phage called Iowalisis. This inspiration comes from the state Iowa and sometimes our plaques look like there is no plaques visible. So, lie rewrite sounds like lisis.
