Naming NotesIronfist originated from how this was the only phage to found among the 5 samples that originally were tested. Some prospective phages, we're slow growing and ultimately ceased to culture after purification, resulting in this being the only viable phage found. It is very hardy and easily cultured.

Plaque NotesTwo plaque morphologies, small and medium, presented themselves when plated with M. smegmatis, and this phage was isolated from the small plaques. Plaques measured approximately less than 1mm across when observed during the first round of purification. When plated during the second round of purification, the plaques increased to around 2 to 3mm. Almost perfectly spherical morphological were observed and we're completely transparent.
