Discovery NotesThe phage was found to the right of the bridge crossing of the pond on the UMass Amherst campus. The soil was very moist and wet as a large body of water was nearby. The soil probably contained some sand and clay, with a lot of grass and other types of plants nearby.
Naming NotesThis name came from the initials of both of our first and last names, arranged so that the first four letters are the initials of our first names, and the last four letters are the initials of our last names. Hence, JeleCrow!
