From enriched soil sample?Unknown
Isolation Temperature22°C
GPS CoordinatesUnavailable
Discovery NotesThe soil was moist with a crumbly texture. There were many wood and roots present that made up more of the sample collection than the actual soil. This made the soil harder to retrieve. I was able to retrieve 2-3 mL of samples in the conical tube. The physical characteristics were dark brown, with many large roots and woods throughout.
Naming NotesThe name Joholem came with help from my mom. She has been using this for a long time now and it stands for all of her kids initials. It is special to me because it is all of my siblings. Johnathon, Joey, Holly, and Emmy.

Plaque NotesThis is an image of plaques formed by phage Joholem. The plaques were type 1 no fuzziness). They had a diameter of 1.0 mm and a radius of 0.5mm.

Hypothesis for lytic or lysogenic:
- Since the phage yields plaques consistently and isn't dormant for a period of time, Joholem is a lytic phage.
