Discovery NotesThe phage was found outside of the Arbor Hills apartments on the Baylor University campus.The soil was dry and had little water content. It composed of mostly silt and clay.
Naming NotesThis phage was named after one of the phage hunters Grandmother. It is the surname of a family that originated in Kenya and it has Swahili origins. The name Kadzo is of African origin and means "Kadzo is a name for a girl child from one of the coastal tribes of the mijikenda in Kenya called giryama kadzo means beautiful or pretty".
