Discovery NotesThis phage was discovered on the La Sierra University campus behind the Zapara School of Business where there was a lot of water drainage. The environmental sample was collected about an inch into the ground near some small plants near the water.
Naming NotesKamaSim was named after my family because they are the most important aspect of my life, and it can be described in two parts. The first part, Kama, includes the first initials of all of my direct family members, so I chose "K" for myself, the first "a" for my dad, "m" for my mom, and the last "a" for my brother. The second part, Sim, is the first three letters of our last name.
