Discovery NotesPhage Kbarbecute was isolated from soil, collected on 3/29/22 by Maggie Han at a depth of about 2 cm from the bushes across to Hae Jang Chon AYCE KBBQ. The sample was dry and temperature at collection time was 15℃.

Kbarbecute was isolated by enriched isolation in 200 mM CaCl2 cation on 20mM CaCl2 plates

Wet lab characterization was performed by Team Phage-alicious (Maggie Han, Trinity Vu, Daniel Chen, Brandon Chew)
