Discovery NotesSoil was found outside of Bellefield Hall on the University of Pittsburgh Campus. The sample was collected beside a sidewalk near the front of the building. It was cloudy outside. It was warm but not humid. The soil was soft and dark brown. The soil was collected at 7:28 am on September 5, 2012. The sample was collected using my hands and was immediately placed into a plastic bag.
Naming NotesI named my phage Kerfuffle because there was quite a commotion in finding this phage. It took me a long time to isolate it and so I felt Kerfuffle (noun meaning commotion) suited it nicely.
