Discovery Notes | Soil sample was taken from underneath a pumpkin in the SCSU garden. Surrounding vegetation includes sunflowers, eggplant, peppers, and watermelon. Because of the plant above it, the soil received little to no sunlight daily. Day of retrieval was sunny and there was no precipitation for over a week prior. |
Naming Notes | This phage is named after one of the main antagonists in H.P. Lovecraft's, "The Dreams In The Witch House". The character is a witch named Keziah Mason that has advanced so far into the sciences that she can transcend dimensions. This is a tribute to the author. |
