Naming NotesKobe Bean Bryant (born August 23, 1978) is arguably one of the greatest basketball players of all time. He played his entire 20 year NBA career with the Los Angeles Lakers. He is a 5-time NBA champion, 2-time NBA Finals MVP, 2-time Olympic gold medalist, and an 18-time All-Star. His game is widely considered second only to the great Michael Jordan. Due to his aggressive, intense, yet meticulous play style he has been given various nicknames such as Kobe Wan Kenobi and most famously, The Black Mamba. Throughout his career he has single-handedly dominated the NBA. For example, he once scored 81 points on the Toronto Raptors (the second highest points in a single game in NBA history), he once scored 61 points on the New York Knickerbockers (a Madison Square Garden scoring record), and he once averaged over 35 points in a season. Additionally, his work ethic and competitive drive is second to none. He is always the first one in the gym and the last one to leave. He is notorious for working out early in the morning (many times before 5 A.M.) and perfecting his craft for hours upon hours. His greatness is among some of the best athletes of all time and he will undoubtedly be immortalized in the Basketball Hall of Fame soon.
