| Discovery Notes | This soil sample was collected at 8:15 am on August 29th 2023. The GPS coordinates are La.040°25’43” N and LO.086°54’40” W. The soil was dry but still soft, the temperature was 55°F, so a little bit chilly. Collected from a potted plant in a garden, only a singular plant present in the pot |
| Naming Notes | The name was inspired from an Indian movie called, Kushi, I had recently watched it and absoltely loved it. It also means Happy in my language. I thought that would be fitting since I was really happy finding the phage after my first direct isolation. |
