| Naming Notes | LIA stands for Luck Is Amorphous. The sample was collected from a site that was dry, covered in wood chips, and practically artificial so I really was not expecting to get a hit. This sample was simply a quick backup that wasn't supposed to be a serious collection since I was almost completely positive that my other sample was going to be positive for phage. My other sample came from a moist decomposing tree stump that I was almost certain would get a hit, but no phage was found. Therefore, the discovery of my phage is thanks to luck. |
