| Discovery Notes | Underneath a tree at Carthage College in the middle of what is called "Oaks circle" after digging about 13" below mulch and dry black soil with worms and roots, I took a sample of the black dirt. This was my second attempt to find phage and the isolation was successful. |
| Naming Notes | LMK is the group's initials. Lynnette, Megan, and Katie. "Sparkles" was added because Megan wanted to name the phage sparkles but not everyone agreed. So, we compromised. |
