Discovery Notes"Laeta" was found in August 23, 2017, at 10:42 A.M. The sample site is a wood-chipped path with moist soil, many roots, and is usually shaded. The top 3.5 inches were collected.

A Xeno Lysogen test was conducted on which "Laeta" grew, meaning it is not a N Cluster phage.
A temperature sensitivity test was also carried out at a temperature of 42 degrees Celsius. At this temperature "Laeta" grew (as well as at 32 degrees Celsius).
A time of Infection test was conducted as well, but there was no difference in quality or quantity of plaques.
Naming Notes"Laeta" means "happy" in Latin.
Sequencing Information

Plaque NotesThe plaques are clear with turbid edges usually ranging from 2-3mm in diameter. The morphology is density dependent, meaning at lower dilutions, the plaques are small and more squished.

The Digest photo does not show cuts on HaeIII, but there are cuts farther down. l know this from a previous attempt where I let the electrophoresis run for longer.

The phage's genomic DNA concentration is 419 ng/µL.
