Discovery NotesThe phage was found in wet soil in front of North Russel Hall in Baylor University. The temperature outside at the time the soil was collected was 80 degrees fahrenheit. The soil was approximately 1 inch deep in the soil. The color of the soil was dark brown. The percentage of sand that was found in the soil was found to be 52%, percentage of silt is 21%, and 27% clay. The soil consisted of 21.16% water. The pH level is 6.5.The phage was also picked from a plaque that Pranav Kapoor had received after a plaque assay.
Naming NotesThe name from this phage had come from a teacher assistant of this research project. He was incredibly helpful for me, so I wanted to commemorate this phage after him.
