Discovery NotesThe phage was discovered from an environmental sample outside Cyr Hall at the University of Maine at Fort Kent. Soil was taken two inches deep and included the surface. The location of the sample was on the outer edge of a drainage culvert, where runoff of multiple spots would collect. The soil had quite a bit of moisture and noticeable organic matter.
Naming NotesA combination of the names of the lab partners, Keeks and Lich were taken.
