Discovery NotesThis phage was found after a rainy night in August. The plaques that this phage produced were very cloudy and turbid. They could be very are to see and distinguish at times. Throughout my research keeping this phage's population high tended to be difficult. Through my first 4 serial dilutions the population was relatively low after the first plate every time. Finally on the 5th serial dilution the population was finally high enough to proceed with my research. When isolating the DNA of this phage I was not able to get a very high concentration, but I was able to get a high enough concentration to put it through gel electrophoresis. When I ran the gel with our chosen restriction enzymes it was cut so many times that the DNA in the lanes look more like smears rather than cuts.
Naming NotesThe name of this phage comes from what we call the house I currently live in.
