Discovery NotesI was able to find this phage in soil that was in front of fraternity hill houses at around 11:00 AM. Conditions: Cloudy, 30º. Environment: Large, grassy hill that is near salted roadway but sample collected far from it, about 15 ft. away. Appearance: Soil was moist but hard under because of ice.
Worked on this phage with Jillian Gavin and Alby Varghese
Naming NotesThe name for the phage came from the fact it was the chance we had at possibly isolating a phage. In our first plating assay, we believed it was just an air bubble, but it turned out to be a well isolated plaque.
