Discovery Notes | Isolated on November, 12th, 2013 Soil collected at aprox 7 cm deep on a grass patch, close to 6 feet apart from where Loptob1 soil sample was collected. Weather cloudy at 72 F |
Naming Notes | Loptob comes from the three initial letters of LOPez and TOBias. As two viruses were isolated from close areas, Loptob1 was given to the LYTIC phage and Loptob2 was given to the LYSOGENIC phage. |
