Discovery Notes | The phage was taken from a soil sample directly next to a pond in front of the La Sierra University campus in Riverside, CA. There was decaying leaf matter on top of the soil. Small bugs were within the soil and ducks were nearby. |
Naming Notes | I greatly enjoyed this course, and I have come to think of my phage as my own child. Therefore, I decided to name the phage after myself, Maddy. I also wished to reference a fandom I greatly enjoy, and my name fit in well with the Star Wars fandom. |
