Discovery NotesTaken from the soil at the edge of Turtle Pond at Coastal Carolina University. I dug down about an inch to reach more organic, damp soil that contained less sand.
Naming NotesI like entomology, and praying mantises are one of my favorite insects. Mantid is the common name for the entire insect order of Mantodea, and incorporates the capsid of bacteriophages.
