| Discovery Notes | The soil sample was obtained outside the freshman dorm M&M on Lehigh University's campus. The ambient temperature was about -5ºC, so a very cold temperature. The soil was covered in snow and was wet / damp to the touch and dug up in large clumps that contained organic matter. The sample was collected at the surface of the ground. |
| Naming Notes | Mattitude was named after one of the Sturniolo Triplets (YouTubers), Matt, and the nickname he receives for his attitude. I have had some difficultly with the purification process of my phage, so I am giving it this name to reflect the attitude I am receiving from the phage. |

| Lysogeny Notes | The EM images of the filtered lysate sample revealed a hexagonal shaped head with a width of 54nm and a height of 75nm. The tails of the phages were long and flexible with a length of about 300nm, resulting in a head to tail ratio of 1:5.5. The lysate contained a high number of phages. |
