Discovery NotesMewmew was isolated from a mixed soil and clay sample. The sample was collected approximately 2 cm from the surface of an overgrown ATV trail, near the base of a small volunteer pine tree.
Naming NotesThis phage was named in reference to Thor's hammer, Mjolnir, in Marvel's 2011 film, Thor. It is also in reference to the Pokemon Mew due to its tendency to change morphology.
