Naming Notes(Pronounced Mih-co-lie)

The name was inspired by a colleague whose name is “Michael”. It was discussed with him one evening a name idea for the phage when “E. Coli” entered into the conversation. In the end, “Mi-” came from “Michael” and “coli” came from “E. Coli”. The pronunciation was altered slightly so that the name would not be too similar the the pronunciation of “E. Coli”.
