Discovery NotesThe soil sample was collected in the middle of a sidewalk crack filled with dirt and leaves. There was a lot of foot traffic due to being found in front of the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia.
Naming NotesThe phage name came from our pets, one being a dog and one a cat. We combined them to make MiloBlu since the phage produced one "large" morphology and one "small" morphology.
