Discovery NotesThe soil collected was taken from Del Mar College, Oso Creek Campus. The soil was very clay like, and because it was taken near a pond the soil was very moist. In the pond there was a family of ducks living, and there was also a few fish present as well.
Naming NotesThe reason for this phage name "mini" is due to the small sizes of the plaques. The name "runtz" comes from the candy that I grew up eating called "runts."
