Discovery NotesCollected outside of Smith Hall on the Doane University campus in Crete, NE. The soil was collected from a vegetated area contains small trees and plants. The soil was very moist and was collected 1 inch from the surface. Because of the Nebraska summer heat, the sample was rather warm when collected but was stored in the refrigerator until use.
Naming NotesMoonDust was inspired by NASA's Artemis missions and the spirit of scientific discovery.
