Discovery NotesThe sample was collected in a grass island in the middle of a parking lot, in between two trees. The top layer of the soil was very gravely, however the lower layer from which the sample was collected form was much more loamy.
Naming NotesThe phage was named after the building where the lab was performed, Morrill Science Center at UMass Amherst. It was named MorrillRat because the buildings are very confusing and resemble a rat maze.
