Discovery NotesThe soil was dug up outside of the Lower Centennial Residence Hall on January 22, 2018. It rained the night before, therefore, the soil was somewhat damp. The soil was a very dark brown and crumbly. 4 spoonfuls of soil were collected.
Naming NotesI chose the name, Mort, referring to the character from the movie, Madagascar. This character is a sugar glider with a long bushy tail. As seen in my EM picture, it is evident that my phage has a long tail, so the name suits my phage perfectly.
