Discovery NotesThe soil sample was collected near the BioPond located on the University of Pennsylvania campus. The environment contained plenty of vegetation, near by there was a small pond. The location of the soil sample was near a large tree surrounded by sparse blades of grass. It had rained a few days ago, leaving the soil slightly warm and damp. The soil was a dark brown and contained small twigs in it.
Naming NotesThe first name we though of was StePHen, but that name already existed. Since then there were many other attempts at naming our phage, yet all were either taken or not approved. We had to think of another name fast. At dinner someone was eating mozzarella sticks near by, so we decided to call the phage Mozz.
