Naming NotesI've always been fascinated with biology, but the amazing Mr. Dennis Kretschman of John Ball Zoo School changed my life forever through his love and fascination with the natural world that bled into his unparalleled teaching. He passed away in 2018, only 3 short years after my year at Zoo School. I miss him so much. This phage has been named after him in tribute to how far he has gotten me, from an animal-loving 6th grader to a freshman at Hope College majoring in Biology and discovering bacteriophages.
