Discovery NotesOur phage, MsVixen, was donated by Furious Phive which was collected on 10/05/2024 in a
suburban neighborhood
The moist soil was collected 3 cm deep within the soil of a suburban neighborhood, about 50ft
away from a walking path, in the middle of greenery with very low foot traffic. The area itself was
not sloped and about 20 ft away from a cemented water reservoir. After isolation and multiple
rounds of purification, the morphology of our phage MsVixen was Siphoviridae and lysed the
bacterial host A. species to form individual plaques of clear, solid edges of about 1-2 mm
diameter.
