Discovery NotesPhages replicated well and had visible plaques for first half of experimentation. Plaques became extremely turbid with a high titer once the 10 plate lysate was collected. During restriction enzyme digestion, only HaeIII made cuts in Munford phages. Other enzymes were not effective in cutting phage DNA.

Plaque NotesPlaques initially formed with bullseye morphology, there was variation in plaque diameter between 0.5-5.0 mm. Most common were above 2.5 mm in diameter. Plaques became fully turbid with diameter of ~2.5 mm. Phages were easily found with electron microscopy.
