Discovery NotesThe soil was a light brown color, like that of wet sand or clay. It was not very moist but condensation still formed in the bag. Grass grew over the soil that was shaded by a tree. the hole was approximately 1 inch deep when the soil was collected. The weather was sunny and 75 degrees Fahrenheit. The sample was collected on 9/2/2014 at 8:16 PM in Mellon Park.
Naming NotesThis is a combination of my two most inspirational high school teachers names who sent me down the path that led me here. So, they should enjoy Nalphy's discovery too. Also credit for combining the names goes to Lizz Eberhardt.

Plaque NotesThe plaques are turbid with a small area in the center of each plaque that is more clear than the surrounding, but it can only be seen on close inspection. The sizes of the plaques range between 70mm and 20mm. Nalphy also has best results when it infects bacteria in 4.5 mL of top agar.
