Discovery NotesThis phage was discovered in the man-made pond on Gonzaga University's campus; it was a sunny day. The soil was dark, rocky, a little damp but not wet. The pond was filled with algae. This was collected next to plants and a rock.
Naming NotesWe named it after ourselves. As we were questioning what to name it, the repetition of writing NSAH gave us the idea of re-arranging our initials into NASH, which is now our phage name.
